Illustrator

Anne Jacobsen Clausen

I was listening to my brother tell about his idea for a book that could be written for children about a day in the life of his childhood.  Before he could ask me I said I would love to illustrate it.  Hallowed Ground: A Luther College Legacy is our family roots and the pictures practically spilled out from me.

Decorah, Luther College and our roots are subjects I love to paint.  The buildings and scenery of Decorah were my playground and I can picture most of the details in these paintings with my eyes closed.

Illustrating a childrens book has been a dream for many years.  I can't think of a better subject for my first illustrated book than Decorah.
